Masonic Education

Zone and District Schools of Instruction are held regularly to increase the knowledge and further the light of all Master Masons. Each school presents the Three Symbolic Degrees in Freemasonry in a concentrated and detailed format, thereby allowing everyone to practice, ask questions, and clarify issues that may arise during each degree. Pursuant to the degree work, each school furthers the education of Masons by the ritual floor work and communication of esoteric work in each degree.

Symbols are a part of our everyday life. In fact, we notice them so often that we may not see what is really being shown. Symbolism sometimes has a way of communicating to each individual a very different message, and is some cases the message is missed without further investigation or knowledge. Masonic schools of instruction help Master Masons make the invisible visible, the hidden in plain view, and the art of our ritual apparent to those who seek it.

NOTE: In order to attend any Masonic School of Instruction, you must be a Master Mason in good standing within your Lodge and present a current dues card upon registration.

A significant group of passionate Masons have joined together to create what is now the fastest growing research society in Freemasonry. Called simply The Masonic Society, brothers who have a deep and abiding desire to seek knowledge, explore history, discover symbolism, debate philosophies, and in short, who are at the forefront of charting a path for the future of Freemasonry. The name, The Masonic Society, intentionally alludes to the Royal Society, the innovative organization of visionary men who were at the forefront of the Age of Enlightenment, many of whom were present at the formation of what became modern Freemasonry. Likewise, this Society is at the forefront of a new age of Freemasonry, and are a vibrant, active community within the fraternity.
